Google AdSense Alternatives: 12 Networks Compared by Requirements and Payouts
The right AdSense alternative depends on traffic first. With no minimum, Adsterra, Monetag, HilltopAds, AADS, Infolinks and Youtarget accept small sites. From about 10,000 monthly pageviews, Monumetric, Raptive and Mediavine's Journey open up. Ezoic now asks for 250,000 monthly active users.

AdSense pays publishers 80% of what advertisers pay after the buying platform's fee, which works out to about 68% when the ad was bought through Google Ads, according to Google's own help center. It pays out once earnings reach $100. Those terms are fine for many sites. The usual reasons to look elsewhere are a rejected application, a niche Google doesn't serve, a payout threshold that takes months to reach, or wanting a second source of demand alongside AdSense.
We checked every fact below on each network's own site, help center or terms on 21 October 2026. Where a network doesn't publish a number, the table says so rather than filling the gap with an estimate.

Small sites: no traffic minimum
Youtarget
Youtarget is our network, so read this entry with that in mind. We checked it the same way as the others. Publishers can run native ads, push subscriptions, popunder, banners, video and interstitials from one account. It accepts sites with legitimate traffic in most niches, payouts start at $5 for most methods, and you can withdraw by PayPal, wire, crypto or e-wallet any time once the balance reaches it. The site says approval takes under ten minutes during business hours. Details are on the publishers page.
Adsterra
Adsterra states outright that it has "no traffic or other limits" for publishers. Formats are popunder, Social Bar, native banner, Smartlink and standard banners. Payouts go out twice a month, around the 1st and the 16th, after a two-week hold. The minimum depends on the method: $5 for WebMoney and Paxum, $25 for PayPal, $100 for crypto and $1,000 for a wire. Its terms, updated 29 June 2026, bar adult content, which contradicts the "adult-friendly" label it often gets in roundups.
Monetag
Monetag is the publisher side of PropellerAds. It has no strict traffic minimum and no niche restrictions for mainstream sites, but the domain has to be self-hosted, and porn and torrent sites are not accepted. Formats include popunder, push, vignette, in-page push and SmartLink. The homepage advertises weekly payouts; the help center says the default is twice a month, on the 4th and 19th, and weekly payouts are reserved for publishers at Silver level and above in its Priority program.
HilltopAds
HilltopAds sets no minimum traffic and explicitly accepts adult traffic through a separate non-mainstream category. It pays every Tuesday on Net 7 terms. The main page quotes a $20 minimum, which holds for Capitalist, Paxum, Wise and WebMoney; PayPal starts at $50, USDT at $100 and a wire at $1,000. It can run next to other networks.
AADS
AADS is the network formerly called A-ADS; the old domain now redirects to aads.com. It pays only in bitcoin, daily, with a 0.001 BTC minimum on-chain and no minimum over Lightning. There is no strict traffic requirement, but the domain must be at least three months old and free subdomains such as Wix or Blogspot are not accepted. NSFW sites are welcome.
Infolinks
Infolinks' units are InText, InFold, InTop, InArticle, InFrame and InScreen. It describes its eligibility bar as "modest" without a number, reviews sites within 48 hours and charges no setup fee. The threshold is $50 for PayPal, eCheck and ACH, and payment arrives within 45 days of the end of the month you reached it. Adult and gambling sites are not accepted.
From about 10,000 monthly pageviews
Monumetric
Monumetric's entry tier, Propel, is for sites with 10,000 to 80,000 monthly pageviews on WordPress or Blogger, with at least half of the traffic from the US, UK, Canada or Australia and room for six or more ad slots. It charges a one-time $99 fee to join Propel. The agreement is non-exclusive with 30 days' notice, the minimum payout is $10, and there is an early termination fee of $0.20 CPM.
Raptive
Raptive was formerly AdThrive. Many articles still quote 100,000 pageviews, but Raptive's own eligibility page sets the bar at 25,000 a month. A set share of the traffic has to come from the US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand: at least 50% for sites with 25,000 to 99,999 pageviews and 40% from 100,000. The domain must be at least six months old and the content original and long-form. Publishers keep 75% of revenue, are paid on Net 45 terms on the 15th, and the minimum is $25, or $100 by wire.
Mediavine Journey
Mediavine's program for smaller sites still exists and asks for 1,000 sessions from tier-1 countries in 30 days. Mediavine describes it as self-supported and does not publish its payout terms on the pages we checked.
Larger publishers
Mediavine Official
Mediavine's main program no longer uses a session count to qualify: the bar is now $5,000 or more in annual ad revenue and good standing with AdSense or Ad Exchange. Payouts run Net 65 with a $100 minimum for ACH, PayPal and wires. For sites launched after 1 January 2026 that earn under $100,000 a year, the revenue share is 75%.
Ezoic
Since February 2026 Ezoic requires 250,000 monthly active users and an AdSense-supported language; sites that joined before the change are grandfathered. Smaller sites can apply once to its Incubator, which takes 20 sites a month. The default threshold is $20 on Net 30 terms, with Net 60 and Net 90 options that pay a premium of 1.5% and 2.25%. Ezoic follows AdSense policies, so adult sites are out.
Media.net
Media.net sells contextual ads in search, display, native and video units and pays Net 30. Its guidelines ask for organic traffic, original content and an ads.txt file, and adult and gambling sites are prohibited. Read the terms closely, though. Media.net markets itself as working alongside AdSense, while section 9.4 of its terms restricts using alternative services that show substantially similar ads.
Setupad
Setupad has moved from a revenue share to a fee of €0.05 per thousand impressions, and its self-serve plan expects significant traffic and your own Google Ad Manager. Formats cover display, anchor, interscroller, rewarded, native, interstitial and in-stream and out-stream video. The minimum payout is €100, paid 60 days after the end of the month.
What older comparisons get wrong
Several facts repeated in other roundups no longer match the networks' own pages:
- Ezoic is closed to small sites. Its 250,000 monthly active user requirement dates from February 2026, and its own pages disagree on whether the cutoff was 18 or 19 February.
- Mediavine's main program qualifies sites by ad revenue, $5,000 a year, not by sessions.
- Raptive's entry bar is 25,000 pageviews. The 100,000 figure many roundups repeat applies only to its RPM guarantee.
- Adsterra's terms bar adult content, despite its reputation as an adult-friendly network.
- A-ADS is now AADS, and Snigel says it is now part of Publisher Collective.
- Setupad charges a CPM fee rather than taking a revenue share.
Can you run them alongside AdSense?
Often, but check the terms first. HilltopAds, Adsterra and Monumetric describe their agreements as non-exclusive. Media.net's terms contain the restriction mentioned above despite its "alongside AdSense" messaging. AdSense has its own policies on what else can run on a page that shows Google ads, so read them before adding popunder or push to the same pages.
How to choose
Start with your traffic: below 10,000 monthly pageviews only the no-minimum networks are realistic, and the managed programs open up as you grow. Then look at where your visitors are, because Monumetric and Raptive both want most traffic from a handful of English-speaking countries. Check the niche rules too: adult sites are turned away by Adsterra, Monetag, Infolinks, Ezoic and Media.net, and Infolinks and Media.net refuse gambling as well. Finally, compare what you actually earn, not what each network advertises. Run two networks on comparable pages for the same period, then put their eCPM (revenue per thousand impressions) next to their payout terms. A higher eCPM paid on Net 65 is worth less to a small site than it looks.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AdSense alternative for a small website?
One without a traffic minimum: Adsterra, Monetag, HilltopAds, AADS, Infolinks or Youtarget. Which one earns more depends on your niche, your visitors' countries and the formats you are willing to show, so test two on the same traffic.
Which AdSense alternatives accept adult sites?
Among the networks checked here, HilltopAds accepts adult traffic through its non-mainstream category and AADS welcomes NSFW sites. Adsterra's terms bar adult content, and Monetag, Infolinks, Ezoic and Media.net do not accept it either.
Is Ezoic better than AdSense?
For most small sites the question doesn't arise: since February 2026 Ezoic accepts only sites with 250,000 monthly active users, unless they joined before the change. It also follows AdSense policies. Below that size, the realistic comparison is AdSense against the no-minimum networks or a place in Ezoic's Incubator.
Which networks pay out the fastest?
AADS processes payouts daily in bitcoin, HilltopAds pays every Tuesday on Net 7, and Adsterra and Monetag pay twice a month. Raptive pays on Net 45 and Mediavine on Net 65.
Do I need AdSense approval to join these networks?
Not for most of them. Mediavine Official asks for good standing with AdSense or Ad Exchange, and Ezoic follows AdSense policies, but the no-minimum networks run their own approval.
