Youtarget Referral Program: How to Earn Your 5% of Revenue

The Youtarget referral program pays 5% of an invited advertiser's spend or 5% of an invited publisher's revenue, with no time limit while the referred partner works with the network. A click is tracked for 30 days, and both links are in your account, under the Referral Program section.

Youtarget referral program

Youtarget's new referral program pays 5% of the invited advertiser's spend or 5% of the invited publisher's revenue. Payments are ongoing: you continue to earn the percentage as long as the invited advertiser or publisher works with the network. Personalized links can be found in your account dashboard, under the “Referral Program” section.

Below, we'll break down how it works: how a referred user is tracked, what you'll see in your stats, and who this program is best suited for.

How many linksTwo: one for advertisers and one for publishers

On many networks, referral commissions are capped after the first half of the year or the first year of the referred partner's activity. We don't impose any time limits: as long as the referred advertiser spends their budget and the referred publisher earns revenue, the commission keeps coming in.

The second difference lies in the calculation basis: we pay a percentage of revenue. Ten accounts that were registered but are inactive won't generate any revenue. One active partner will bring you money on a regular basis.

How to Calculate Your Earnings

Let's look at a hypothetical example: the figures below are for illustrative purposes only.

Suppose a referred advertiser spends $3,000 per month. Your 5% of that revenue is $150, and this continues every month as long as they're active. Three such advertisers will already bring in $450 a month, without you having to make a single purchase.

The same logic applies to platforms, but the basis is different: the percentage is calculated based on the publisher's revenue, not their expenses. A single website generating $800 a month will earn you $40.

Kabinet referral
  1. Log in to your Youtarget account.
  2. Open the “Referral Program” section.
  3. Copy the link you need. There are two: one for advertisers and one for publishers, each with its own registration URL.
  4. Send it to the person you're inviting.

How an Invitee Is Credited

In affiliate marketing, the decision to switch or add a traffic source is rarely made on the same day as the conversation. First, a person looks at the ad formats, then asks friends, and only then proceeds to register.

That's why a click on the link is tracked for 30 days. A person might click, walk away to think it over, come back three weeks later, and register: the registration will still be credited to you.

What You'll See in the Statistics

Referred users

The “Referral Program” section contains all the figures related to your referrals. Summary at the top:

  • Invited - how many people registered via your links
  • Active - how many of them are currently active
  • Credited - the amount that has already been credited
  • Pending confirmation - the amount currently being processed

Below is a table for each invitee: email, account type, status, registration date, qualification, rate, and credited amount. Records are filtered by status: registered, active, completed, expired.

The purpose of this table is simple. In addition to the total amount, you can see at which stage each invitee is stuck. If someone registered a week ago and still hasn't launched a campaign, that's a reason to follow up with them again.

Who This Program Is For

Media buyers. You probably know who hasn't met their volume targets this quarter and who's complaining about the quality of traffic sources. Now, such recommendations are rewarded.

Website owners. Perhaps you're part of a few group chats with colleagues who run similar sites and face the same monetization challenges. A recommendation within a professional circle works better than any advertisement.

Community managers. If you administer a chat, channel, or affiliate marketing website, you already have an audience that regularly asks where to get traffic.
