October 2026 Sports Calendar: Key Dates, GEOs, and Campaign Timing

In October, the betting industry gets off to a slow start but really hits the gas toward the end of the month. The main task for this month is to decide where to focus your efforts. That’s because the following events are coming up: two rounds of the Champions League, the Libertadores and Sudamericana semifinals, the start of the NBA season, the MLB World Series, and Formula 1 races.

Since the international break ended on October 6, club soccer will pick up steam by the second weekend of the month. Until then, you can test out different betting combinations. It’s worth ramping up your betting volume on October 8 or 9, ahead of the domestic leagues and European club competitions.
